For the believer who keeps saying it would be in a medical journal, and has never once gone looking.
You have a sentence you use whenever a room gets loud.
You don't say it unkindly. You say it to bring the temperature down, because you're the one people look at whenever somebody starts telling a healing story with their hands. If it were real, you say, it would be in a medical journal. Then everybody nods, the chairs get straightened, and the evening moves on to something safer.
I've watched that sentence work, beloved, and I want to tell you what I think it has been doing for you. It is not unbelief. It's a shelf. You put the question up there where it can't fall on anybody. Least of all on the woman across the circle, the one who has been praying for her son for nine years, who cannot take one more bright ending that isn't hers.
Then somebody hands you a card with a citation on it, and the shelf is suddenly not high enough.
You do not have to prove this before you are allowed to want it. Said with no picture on it: the page you asked for exists, and it was never the thing standing between you and God. Not once has the Holy Spirit stood back and waited for a believer to finish weighing the evidence. Scripture puts a living Christ in front of you, beloved, and not a case to be argued.

The Sentence That Settles a Room
Let's be honest about how well that sentence works.
It sounds fair. It sounds like good manners, the kind of remark a careful leader makes so nobody in the room gets promised something nobody can deliver. Half the time you say it, you are genuinely protecting someone, and I'm not going to take that away from you.
The other half, you're protecting yourself, and you know it. A condition you never expect to be met is not really a condition. It's a closed door with a polite notice on it.
You are not in trouble for the sign on that door. It is written that we test what we are told and keep hold of what is good, so your carefulness is obedience wearing work clothes. The Holy Spirit is happy to sit in a plastic chair beside somebody who is still asking.
Think how long you've held that room together. You've prayed over people whose outcomes you never found out about. You've sat with a woman while she cried and said nothing clever, because nothing clever was true. That isn't a thin faith. That's a faith that has been carrying other people's disappointments for years without anybody offering to carry yours.
What the Number Cannot Do
Before I hand you the record, let me say plainly what it will not do for you.
It will not order your body. It will not explain the nine years, or the son, or the prayers that came back with nothing on them. It cannot turn one written up account into a rule that covers the next person who walks into your prayer room with their coat still on.
One reported case is exactly that: one case, looked at and written down. It shows that doctors put a documented history in front of other doctors to pull apart. It does not prove a cause, and the authors of it never claimed one.
You are allowed to hold a small true finding without blowing it up. The Holy Spirit does His best work in people who refuse to claim more than they know. Scripture has never once asked you to stretch an account in order to honor God.
So keep your standards exactly where they are. I only want the sentence about the journal to meet the page it asked for.
That is a smaller request than it sounds, and it is also all I am asking. You are not being handed a new position to defend in public on Sunday. You are being handed one record, at its own size, with its own limits printed on it, and the freedom to sit with it as long as you like before you say a single word to anybody.
The Question Comes Back to You
Here's the quiet part, and I'd rather you heard it from someone who loves you.
The page you asked for exists. Not a proof, not a guarantee, and not a reason to raise your voice on Sunday. Just a page, with a date in this decade, sitting exactly where you said it would have to be.
So the sentence has nowhere left to stand, and the question comes back across the room to you.
> Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. > Hebrews 13:8 (KJV)
That line was never waiting on a journal. It was true before the paper and it stays true if the paper is one day overturned, because the sameness belongs to Christ rather than to the evidence about Him. The paper did not make His today. It just made it much harder for you to keep today empty.
You are standing inside Christ's present tense, not reading somebody else's report of it. The written Word joined your afternoon to His unchanging life long before anybody put a paper about it into an index. The Holy Spirit holds that open in front of you and forces no outcome through it.
Here is what that does not cost you. You do not have to go back to the room and announce anything. You do not have to raise the temperature you've spent years lowering. Nobody has to be told they were wrong for this to change inside you.
Declare this over yourself
You are in Christ and Christ is in you, so what follows is not a claim made out of your own authority. It is agreement, said back to God in His own words, while the Holy Spirit carries it. How He orders the rest of it is His to decide, and He answers in His own way and in His own time.
Nobody is checking your credentials at this paragraph, beloved. Christ settled where you stand long before anybody wrote a number on a card and slid it across a table to you, and no citation adds a line to that. What comes next makes no demand of God and sets no date for Him. It is you, with the card face down, telling the truth about what you still want.
I am not waiting for a page to give me permission. He has not changed, and the condition I held over Him was never one He agreed to. What He did then, He is doing now, and Scripture says that over the chair I am sitting in this minute. The crossing I have been putting off is not a leap, because the Holy Spirit has been standing on both sides of it the whole time. Nobody else's ending belongs to me, and I am not in line to be handed one. My hands stay open and my questions stay honest, and neither of those embarrasses me. I stay right here with nothing closed, and what God does, and when, is His alone.
